The Jacksonville-Onslow Council for the Arts is on a mission to build community through cultural arts. That mission is made possible by support from and collaboration with our partners. Cultural arts impact quality of life, livability, cultural engagement, community development and more. Our partners’ support enables us to bring awareness, opportunity and value to the residents and visitors in Jacksonville and Onslow County.
We appreciate our partners and thank them for their support. Because of their generosity and collaboration, we are able to serve students, artists, and our community at large.

For nearly 50 years, the NCAC has supported the abundance of outstanding artists and arts organizations enriching communities across the state. The arts in North Carolina have come to be valued as one of our state’s most durable and productive assets. The NCAC is a valuable partner to our community. Grassroots funding through the Arts Council comes from the NCAC funds.
Onslow County Schools (OCS) serves approximately 26,000 students The Arts Council is proud to partner with OCS for Arts in Education programs for students, All-County Arts and Student Art Competitions and Shows.
The NC Center for Nonprofits serves as an information center on effective practices in nonprofit organizations, a statewide network for nonprofit board and staff members, and an advocate for the nonprofit sector as a whole.
The City of Jacksonville has led the “Clean & Green” initiative, Downtown Housing Initiative and created the Office of Livable Neighborhoods to improve Jacksonville’s appearance, cleanliness, and civic pride. Cultural Arts development is a strong asset to these endeavors. We are proud to partner with the City in advancing a more beautiful and successful community.
Onslow County Government is a partner with the Arts Council in supporting Arts in Education programs for children. Programs are presented at Onslow County Schools and are open to home-schooled children as well.
